Golden Globe Resources Limited No specific catalyst identified. Today's only lodgement was a routine Appendix 4G and Corporate Governance Statement, not a price-moving release. Golden Globe's flagship is the Dooloo Creek Gold-Copper Project in Queensland.
SVL -16.0%
Silver Mines Limited Silver Mines received firm commitments for a $70 million two-tranche placement at $0.145 a share, a 10% discount to the five day VWAP, with demand exceeding the raise. Proceeds fund development consent and engineering studies at Bowdens Silver plus the Fitzroy and Asia Metals royalty acquisitions. The fall reflects the placement discount and dilution rather than any change to the project.
TGN -9.2%
Tungsten Mining NL Tungsten Mining secured firm commitments for a $50 million placement at $0.32 a share, a 16.9% discount to last close, to fund development of the Watershed project toward final investment decision. The raise follows full project approvals on 10 September and positive testwork results on 16 September. The pullback reflects the placement discount rather than a reversal in project news flow.

Australian Mining BHP and Amazon Launch Industry-First Copper Emissions Pilot BHP and Amazon have launched a pilot to recognise lower greenhouse gas emissions in the copper supply chain, testing the purchase and sale of Environmental Attribute Certificates linked to copper concentrate and cathodes from BHP's Escondida mine in Chile. Escondida, the world's largest copper mine, runs on renewable electricity and desalinated water; BHP will create the certificates against copper production emissions, and Amazon will purchase and retire them against emissions attributed to copper in its power, cooling and computing supply chains, including AI infrastructure. The companies will explore eligibility, governance and safeguards to keep certificates verifiable, traceable and not double-counted.
Mining.com Mali Setbacks Force Resolute Mining to Cut Syama Outlook Resolute Mining cut 2026 guidance for its Syama gold mine in Mali by about a quarter, now expecting 150,000 to 160,000oz at AISC of US$2,300 to $2,400/oz, down from 195,000 to 210,000oz at $1,950 to $2,150/oz, after explosives and equipment supply disruptions restricted access to higher-grade underground and open-pit ore. Group guidance falls to 205,000 to 225,000oz from 250,000 to 275,000oz. Resolute is building an on-site emulsion plant, commissioning in November, and targets fourth-quarter Syama output of 45,000 to 50,000oz.
Miningmx MPRD in 2026: A Maze of Mineral Policy South Africa's mining industry faces conflicting policy signals as the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition's Industrial Development Strategy proposes linking beneficiation obligations directly to mining rights, reopening tension with the separate Mineral Resources Development Bill process. The Minerals Council has criticised the IDS's proposed chrome ore export taxes and quotas as adding to policy uncertainty, arguing electricity tariffs, up more than 900% since 2008, are the real constraint on ferrochrome competitiveness rather than a lack of raw chrome ore.
Mining.com.au Savannah Raises Over $40 Million to Develop Portuguese Lithium Project Savannah Resources is raising US$30 million (A$42.2 million) via a placement of 408 million shares at £0.055 each, plus a US$11.2 million subscription from existing major shareholders, to fund development of the Barroso Lithium Project in Portugal. Combined with US$15.5 million in existing cash, proceeds cover long-lead item fabrication, access road groundworks and front-end engineering design. Barroso's July DFS outlined a 14-year mine producing 183,000t of lithium oxide a year at 5.5% grade, with a post-tax NPV of US$913 million.
